The Team

Mr. Jim Guthrie is the president of Viresco Energy LLC. Viresco’s primary goal is to become the global leader in the technology, operation, production, and marketing of the synthetic fuel from Viresco Process called SYNFuelTM.  Viresco, a company with offices in Riverside California, has the exclusive licensing option to this technology.  Jim Guthrie is also the president of Jim Guthrie Construction Company, a real estate development company located in Riverside, CA.

Dr. Neal Richter is currently a Chevron Fellow and a chief scientist at Viresco Energy LLC. He has forty years experience in energy conversion technologies. Dr. Richter was a principal engineer in all phases of development of the Texaco Gasification Process (now owned by General Electric). He led teams in the development of the Texaco process for the conversion of natural gas, heavy hydrocarbon fractions, coal and petroleum coke to a clean synthesis gas.  He was a principal contributor to the development of the world’s first Integrated Coal Gasification Combined Cycle Power Plant located in Barstow, CA and known as the Cool Water plant. The Cool Water Plant in southern California is widely recognized as entrée to the future of the electric power generating industry.

Dr. Arun SK Raju is the Director of Research at Viresco Energy LLC. Dr. Raju got his PhD from UC Riverside with a dissertation focusing on the research and optimization of the steam hydrogasification based conversion of carbonaceous feedstocks into different energy products. He manages Viresco’s research projects and is involved in technology development and commercialization.
